Health Around Here.


 

Let’s talk about health for a moment. Something I’m adamant about in creating freedom and a life you love is that it’s without working harder, sacrificing time or jeopardizing health. So let’s dive in today and little more about what I mean when I say without jeopardizing health.

There are many people out there eating lots of cash, buying fancy things, traveling the world - but are they truly living their best life? Do they have freedom?

For me without health none of it matters as the you enjoying it all isn’t able to fully enjoy it. So at the core of any conversation I’ll ever have with people about life is a conversation about health.

So what is health.

We could look it up in the dictionary to find it’s defined as -
“the state of being free from illness or Injury.”

This definition is simple and yes the goal, to walk thru life at your best free from disease or injury. Let’s dive deeper into what I’m truly talking about when you hear me say health.

Over the years, when in this conversation of freedom as it pertains to health, I found myself following the philosophies around health so beautiful taught by the institute for integrative nutrition. Not only did I find myself loving their ideas about and approach to health, but I choose in time to partner with them in my learning to become certified as an integrative health coach because of how powerful I feel their conversation is about health. So while we saw the definition the dictionary gave us, today I’d like to jump in to how I define health and provide you an opportunity to rethink health and imagine a world where in having your full free life you also have this level of health.

Health is a conversation that is 2 things, multidimensional and bio-individual. This means there are 4 layers to health that must be addressed as well as the clear truth that health is not one size fits all but rather unique to you.

So let’s look at layers or dimensions. Historically health is a physical conversation, and in more recent years society has broadened its scope to include a conversation to mental health. Both of these dimensions are brilliant but not a full holistic view or access to health. Here when I speak of health I’m going to speak to 4 distinct layers - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

So in looking at freedom and access to it without jeopardizing health we will always look at not only what you need but as it relates to those four layers or dimensions.

To dive deeper when we start looking at your health we start looking at what is defined as your primary food. Contrary to what you might be thinking this grouping of core health areas has nothing to do with what’s on your plate. We will talk more about that in a bit. Primary foods are the areas of life that must first be addressed and balanced before a conversation on what you’re eating ever comes in to play.

Creativity. Finances. Career. Education. Health. Physical activity. Home cooking. Home environment. Relationships. Social life. Joy. Spirituality.

When looking at these areas some may pop out as obvious in importance to you, others you may think “how on earth is this relavent to me feeling healthy!?”

If you think back to how we started this conversation expanding health to more than just physical you might start to wrap your head around how these primary food areas relate to the dimensions of health. One thing to also note is when looking at health when there is an issue or you don’t feel 100% as an integrative health coach I will always start with the spiritual realm followed by emotion, mental and so on, physical therefore being the final realm we review and also final realm we believe issues appear. So when dealing with a physical ailment it is said that you have already ignored issues in 3 other dimensions of health.

Now yes of course what's on your plate is important and we absolutely will talk about secondary foods in a conversation about health. that said the depth and abundance of health I'm talking about in all I do 100% absolutely includes all dimensions and a custom to you approach.

So back to freedom without jeopardizing health. This is now a conversation that had nothing to do with a number on a scale or free workout guide when you buy my product. This now becomes a conversation about you waking up to a life you've designed, feeling the best you can in all areas.
